Who we are
Leap Digital ("we", "us") operates Local Finds SG, a curated directory of independent local businesses in Singapore. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
What data we collect
Information you give us through our forms:
- Newsletter opt-in: your email address, and your first name if you provide it.
- Business application: your name, phone number, and details about your business.
- Contact form: your name, phone number, your message, and your email if you provide it.
Information collected automatically: standard server and security logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept by our host, and a verification token from Cloudflare Turnstile when you submit a form.
We do not collect personal data from the business listings themselves; those describe businesses, not private individuals.
How we use your data
To reply to your enquiry, review business applications, send the newsletter if you opted in, and operate and improve the directory. We do not sell your personal data. We do not sell listing placement or ranking.
Legal basis (PDPA)
We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box when you submit a form, and on our legitimate interest in running the directory.
Where your data goes
Form submissions are sent to and stored in HighLevel, our customer-relationship platform, which is hosted outside Singapore. By submitting a form you consent to your data being transferred and stored there. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA. HighLevel processes the data on our instructions.
Third-party services
- HighLevel: stores and manages form submissions and contact records.
- Cloudflare: hosts the site and provides Turnstile spam protection.
- Google Maps: some business listing pages embed a Google map.
- Supabase: stores the business listing database; it holds no contact or form data.
Cookies
Local Finds SG does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Two third-party features may set their own: Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our forms from spam, and the Google Map embedded on some business listing pages. Those are governed by Cloudflare's and Google's own privacy policies.
Protecting your data
We take reasonable measures to protect personal data in our care against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as it is needed for the purpose you gave it: while you are subscribed to the newsletter, or while we are considering or maintaining your business listing. We remove it when it is no longer needed for that purpose, or when you ask us to.
Your rights under the PDPA
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent. If you withdraw consent, we will stop using your data for those purposes, which may mean we can no longer respond to your enquiry or keep you on the newsletter list. Contact us using the details below. We will respond as soon as we can, and if we need more than 30 days we will tell you in writing within 30 days when to expect our response.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
